Enjoy the warmth and non intimidating low water Wenatchee. This is contiguous with Kanufest so it is a convenient way to stretch your July 4th holiday on the way home. We will surf plenty. Bring extra water, sunscreen and a snack. Helpful to have a chair & libations to enjoy on the grass while awaiting shuttle at end of day; you’ll be exhausted.
Contact Coordinator Mary if you wish to camp on concrete floor in the church basement, Cashmere.

Indigenous People‘s Day just happens to have the best tides of the year for our annual attempt to paddle the full extent of this tidal stream. Trip leader will have his trusty saw in case new wood tries to stop us from doing so. We will ride a strong flood tide roughly 3 miles in the bay (minimal current) and 2.5 mi. in the narrow creek (noticeable current), meandering through forests and then salt marshes. Lunch will be afloat at the turn-around point. A gentle ebb current may accompany us back to the bay. Bring your Discover Pass for parking

Join us for a scenic fall paddle on the Yakima River from Easton to Thrall. This 8-10 mile Class 1+ section features gentle rapids and riffles, perfect for paddlers with some experience on moving water. In November, the river will likely have lower flows than in spring, but you can still expect a moderate current and cold water temperatures. The air will be crisp, and rain is possible, so come prepared with a dry suit or wetsuit to stay warm and dry. This trip offers beautiful fall scenery, including views of the surrounding mountains, forests, and migrating birds. Since daylight hours are shorter, be sure to bring a headlamp and plan accordingly. This trip is suitable for those who are comfortable in cold conditions and on Class 1+ rivers.

Celebrate the season with a holiday lights paddle on Lake Union! We’ll meet at the Sunnyside Ave boat ramp and explore the houseboats and waterfront, all decked out with holiday lights. This trip will be held at night, so participants should be comfortable with paddling in low visibility and choppy water. It will be cold and possibly rainy, so wearing a dry suit is recommended for staying warm and dry. Feel free to decorate your boat with lights to add to the festive atmosphere! Make sure to bring a headlamp for visibility.
