Students must have wetsuits or drysuits, pfds, helmets and canoes suitable for river use. Canoes should have 3+ inches of rocker and have enough bow and stern volume and flare to be able to shed small to moderate sized waves.
Students should be available for both Saturday and Sunday sessions to be able to be able to get value out of the class.

This class is designed for those who are comfortably skilled at paddling their canoes on still water but want to advance their skills to paddle more comfortably on rivers up to Class II.  We will cover the basics of river safety, how to read rivers and paddling techniques used in current.
