What a beautiful day to be on a river, the flow at 1700 is just perfect!  Not too many rocks exposed, just enough to keep you looking and the current not too pushy.  The weather was wonderful, started a little cool and ended up in the high 70’s.

We had a group of 8 boaters in 7 boats; Linda Newman, Steve Reutebuch, Jen-Shen Liu, and George Wilhelm in solo boats, Don Samdahl in his kayak, Carol Beers in an inflatable, and Becca Polglase and Janiene Licciardi paddling a tandem canoe.

We had no swimmers on the trip denying us an opportunity to practice rope throws for the contests at the Spring Bash next Saturday, May 14. Steve has posted photos of the trip on the PTCC web site.

Dangerous situation at the last gravel bar before the takeout, the right channel is completely blocked by logs, however the left channel was open and clear.
