SF Snoqualmie 410 cfs 4-16-16 Steve Reutebuch

Published on 4/16/2016
On April 16th we ran the SF Snoqualmie (Class II+) with a flow of 410 cfs on the Garcia gage.  This level is just enough to navigate the slot through the weir and still high enough to have fun in the gorge. Dan Bida, Steve Reutebuch, and Jen-Shen paddled solo in canoes. Don Samdahl was in his hardshell kayak. Ollie Royer was in her IK and Rob Slack rowed his "mini" 9-ft raft with his kids, Sofia and Miles.  All had a great time.  Jen was in his 16-ft tandem canoe.  He poled portions of the run and had a temporary problem with a couple rocks below the gorge.  It was another great day on the river!
Note:  There is a significant log jam on river right less than a mile below the 486th Ave SE bridge. There was just enough water to get by the logjam at this low water level (see photo).
