Amidst gray and wet skies, six club members (1 single canoe, 1 tandem, 2 kayaks, and 1 IK) braved the rising waters of the Middle Fork Snoqualmie (1300 cfs at the start) to run the Club Stretch as a warm up for the spring season. The water level was good, better than the 900 cfs previously predicted. We had a few scrapes (due to poor judgment by the trip coordinator) and a couple of early season swims. No wood to speak of , but there is one tree blocking the right channel less than a mile below below Blue Hole- river left was fine. We were racing the weather and the hail hit right at the take-out, leaving a few white canoes and kayaks waiting for us after the shuttle. Apart from no lunch break (due to the weather), it was a good warm-up and good partners.
