SF Stilly, Granite Falls to Jordan Bridge April 2, 2016

On Saturday April 2nd, Steve Reutebuch, Jen-Shen Liu, Michelle Sheffer, Dan Bida, and Julie Titone paddled the lovely class II section of the South Fork Stilly from Granite Falls to the Jordan cable bridge. The weather was very mild and the water level was perfect at 5.7 ft on the Granite Falls gage. Michelle paddled a kayak while everyone else were in solo canoes. This was Dan's first trip in a solo whitewater canoe and he was outstanding--no swims! Very impressive for never having a class. It was the first time paddling this stretch for Jen and Michelle as well. The water fall on river left had lots of water, providing a great photo opportunity. We saw 2 deer on the banks.
